As General Manager, David brings a lifetime of hospitality experience.
Beginning his restaurant career at the age of fifteen washing dishes and bussing tables, by eighteen David had started to serve. Not long after that, David was asked to support the opening of a family friend’s upscale Italian restaurant in Central Florida. David was tasked with managing the front while his friends and owners cooked and ran the back. David later moved on from Italian cuisine to become floor lead of a locally owned and operated fine steak and seafood restaurant. In 2008, David’s next big move was to Florida’s Panhandle to lead the Front of the House operations at a brand-new, high-end barbeque restaurant.
Prior to joining us, David served as the General Manager for an iconic fine dining seafood restaurant, as well as a young, franchised pizzeria — both restaurants recognized as popular local gathering spots — a trend that will undoubtedly continue with the elegant, and new, Farm and Fire Southern Pizzeria.
David’s leadership style is centered around what drives him the most; helping people realize what they can be rather than what they are — and advocating the potential opportunities inside the hospitality industry, especially on Florida’s stunning Gulf Coast.
Convincing restaurant owners to close shop in the wake of Hurricane Michael’s devastation so the teams could join the relief efforts and provide vital aid to neighbors and surrounding communities comprise David’s proudest moments to date.
When not at the restaurant, you can find David doing what the tourists do — having fun out on the boat, listening to live music, fishing, relaxing on the beach, and hanging out with friends.
